James McGill - Partner

Prior to being a founding Partner of Chatham, James spent over two decades in the corporate sector, primarily in financial and energy markets working for both Australian and international companies. James has worked on numerous M&A transactions over this time and now with Chatham has advised dozens of clients on growth strategies, mergers, acquisitions and exits. James also sits on several Advisory Boards.

In addition to undergraduate qualifications, James is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors course, he has an MBA, qualifications from FINSIA, a project management diploma from UNE and he is an Accredited Family Business Association advisor.

Patrick Arnfield - Partner

Patrick is a Chartered Accountant specialising in corporate development, performance improvement, transaction support and CFO advisory services for corporate, small cap ASX and private equity owned portfolio clients.

Prior to joining Chatham, Patrick worked at Deloitte for nine years, across their Corporate Finance and Transaction Services practices in Adelaide, the UK and Sydney. Patrick also spent three years in London and Sydney as an independent financial consultant delivering corporate development, FP&A and financial modelling services to clients.

Mark Rodda - Partner

Mark has spent much of his career specialising in the Agribusiness space both in Australia and globally, working with companies such as Elders and FREE Eyre Limited. Managing diverse and regional teams, Mark is passionate and experienced at leadership, business development and stakeholder engagement. In recent years, Mark has advised several established companies and start-up groups, mainly in the food, beverage and ag-tech sector. With a degree in Agricultural Business, a Masters in Innovations and Service Management, a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Mark also sits on several boards from Agribusiness Australia through to committees associated with the University of Adelaide.

Matt Molyneux - Family Office consultant

Matthew is a Chartered Accountant, who has spent most of his career advising and investing in the Private Equity industry in the UK. Before moving with his family to Australia, Matthew completed the sale of a private healthcare business in the UK, which he founded alongside his wife. Prior to this Matthew spent four years working as a Private Equity investor at Mercia Asset Management Plc in the UK, investing in small and medium size businesses.

Matthew also worked at BDO's for five years in their Transaction Services team specialising in advising mid-market Private Equity funds and private businesses being sold to Private Equity.

Matt now manages his own Family Office and provides consulting services to other HNW families who are considering or who have established their Family Office.

Kent Aughey - Family Business consultant

Kent has over 30 years of business experience and tailors his services to meet each client's unique needs. Kent’s primary focus is to assist SME family-owned businesses with topics such as ‘Helping prepare your business to be sold’, ‘Getting succession ready’ and ‘Preparing for a successful merger, acquisition or sale”.

Kent is a past National Director of the peak body for family business, the Family Business Association (FBA), and was Chair of the SA Chapter. He is a Foundation Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, an Individual Member of the Real Estate Institute of SA and a Licensed Land and Business Sales Agent.

Kent has built a substantial contact base of lawyers, accountants, and general advisors and has presented at many industry seminars and master classes on Mergers and Acquisitions, Business Development and Growth, Venture Capital and Family Board Governance, and Succession Planning.

Kent collaborates with the Chatham team via Ashington Advisory, typically where a clients interests are best served by a range of services that can be delivered via a partnership model.
